What We Believe

We subscribe to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.

We Believe

• The Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God
• There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
• He has revealed Himself in creation, history, Scripture and Jesus Christ
• God created the world but man rebelled and is now born with a sinful nature
• In the person and work of Jesus Christ, including His deity, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His true humanity, His miracles, His substitutionary death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to heaven, and His personal return in power and glory
• That regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation
• Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone as Lord and Savior
• In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and to grow in the knowledge of God and Christian obedience
• In the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost -- the saved unto eternal life in heaven and the lost unto eternal separation in hell
• In the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and in the importance of the local church for worship, service and missions.

In Our Church We Will

• Walk together in Christian love
• Grow together in knowledge, holiness and love
• Join together in worship, fellowship, and faith

In Our Stewardship We Will

• Know that God owns everything, and that all we have is entrusted to us for wise use to bring glory to God
• Give cheerfully to support the ministry, help the poor, and spread the gospel throughout all nations

In Our Homes We Will

• Worship together as a family
• Bring up our children in the truth and love of Christ
• Pray for the salvation of our family and friends

In Our Conduct We Will

• Practice what we teach
• Be just in our dealings
• Be faithful in our commitments
• Guard our words and our attitudes
• Zealously advance the kingdom of Christ
• Cherish and maintain unity among one another

In Our Relationships to Fellow Members We Will

• Watch over one another in brotherly love
• Pray for one another
• Help one another in sickness and distress
• Speak kindly and truthfully to one another
• Be slow to take offense, and always ready for reconciliation
