Getting Ready for Sunday, February 28th

February 25, 2016

"God calls us to desire salvation not just for ourselves but for others,
even our enemies."

Church family,

Getting Ready for Sunday is a new weekly email and blog that we’ll be sending out to help our church family prepare to worship God together. We’ll share a brief preview of the sermon and our call to worship as well as the songs we’ll be singing on Sunday. Our hope is that the Holy Spirit will use this to help us prepare for how God would change and grow us through gathering around his word every Sunday.

-Pastor Matt Oakes

This Sunday we’ll be looking at Esther 8 and seeing how God calls us to desire salvation not just for ourselves but for others, even our enemies.

Our Call To Worship will be from Psalm 63:1-4.
Read it before we gather and ask God to:

  1. Make us aware of our need for him.
  2. Give us a deep experience of how his love, shown in Christ, refreshes and restores us in our need.

Here are the songs we are singing this Sunday. The elementary kids will also be helping lead us in worship for the first two songs!
