SEPTEMBER 21, 2017

Church family,

"Getting Ready for Sunday" is a resource we provide to help the church look ahead to the upcoming Sunday. We want to prepare well for gathering together by reading God’s word, praying, and singing.

This week we are looking at Judges 4:1-24and seeing how reverencing God through a courageous faith results in blessing, because God is always faithful to his people.

Our Call to Worship is Psalm 92:1-2

It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
to declare your steadfast love in the morning,
and your faithfulness by night,

We’re gathering this Sunday because it's so very good for us to praise and declare the faithfulness of God. As we pursue our own faithfulness and obedience to the gospel, God’s word directs us to be motivated and empowered by the memory of God’s faithfulness. As we gather this Sunday let’s come ready and eager to experience the goodness of remembering the faithfulness of God to us in Christ.

Read Psalm 92:1-2 and:

  1. Praise God he is so faithful, always with us, always pursuing us.

  2. Pray that we would remember the faithfulness of God well.

Here are the songs we are singing this week. We chose these songs because they call us to place our trust in the faithfulness of our good God.
