GIVING

Q: I’ve seen that we can give our tithes online now, through the Online Giving tab on our website - but can I just give my tithe, automatically, from my bank account
A: Yes; an ACH check, is simply a check that your bank creates for you, according to the specifications you request. An ACH check for your tithes or designated giving, is a convenient way to support our church, ministries, and staff; here’s an example scenario:
EXAMPLE: if you are used to being paid twice a month, and giving your tithe check twice a month, but would like to not have to always remember your checkbook, then simply contact your local bank and ask them to set up an ACH for you. You’ll give them the church’s mailing address (which can be found on our homepage, www.orbc.org), the amount you would like to send, and the date on which it should be created and sent to your church. Designated gifts can be done the same way; often, though, designated gifts contain irregular amounts. One may still send designated gifts via an ACH check, but the designation must be noted on the check, in order to ensure proper posting.
